Technical Consultant for Factory Automation with focus PLC/HMI (m/f/d)
Siemens, a global technology leader, is seeking a Technical Consultant for its Factory Automation Business Unit in Tres Cantos, Madrid.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical advice to the sales force for developing and implementing engineering solutions based on the Siemens Factory Automation portfolio.
* Resolve complex technical challenges and serve as the primary escalation point for major customer technical issues.
* Design PLC and HMI software solutions tailored to customer/project needs.
* Create technical collateral such as application examples and reusable templates.
* Support marketing and knowledge transfer through technical presentations at webinars and conferences.
* Assist in market introduction of new products and software versions, including piloting, training, and collaboration with product management.
* Offer comprehensive customer support during market launch sites, both remotely and on-site.
Requirements
* Engineering degree or Master’s in Automation, Computers, Telecom, Digitalization Technology, or related field.
* More than 2 years of experience with Siemens automation systems.
* Fluent in English (C1).
* Interest in working within an international team.
* Extensive knowledge in IT system engineering and software development.
* Knowledge of WinCC, SIMATIC PLC, and STEP 7 (TIA Portal).
* Basic knowledge of industrial communication.
* Additional knowledge in networking, HMI panels, machine safety, PC-based automation, robotics, and motion control is beneficial.
* Experience in interacting with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
