PREFAB DATA CENTERS BUSINESS The PreFab Modular Data Center Systems have been driving tremendous growth in the segment during the last years. The PreFab Data Center Systems Line of Business integrates Schneider products into modular enclosures, tests the systems in the factory, and delivers the final solution to the country of destination.
Solution Purchaser Mission: Proceed with all operational purchasing tasks focused on Prefab activity, from supplier identification to contractual agreements and customer satisfaction. Location: Sant Boi, Barcelona.
What will you do?
1. Accountable for contractual and innovative setup to ensure competitive offer and execution margin improvement within a project team.
2. Define the specific purchasing strategy for the project, focusing on high stake / high risk commodities, continuously prioritizing tasks based on project time schedule.
3. Secure the supplier sourcing & selection, being involved from the early tendering phases of the project to the cash collection, integrating all specification aspects (cost, lead-time, technology, quality, flexibility, logistic, financing & cash flow, T&C’s), managing Suppliers Homologation and Evaluation and the bid tabulation (based on total cost of ownership (TCO)), securing the negotiation process (including T&C).
4. Assess risks and opportunities on the supply chain and transfer/mitigate them as early as possible through audit, contractual clauses, supplier action plan.
5. Do contracts with suppliers taking into account customer requirements, anticipating potential changes & claims with suppliers.
6. Manage the purchasing order process with an ethical approach, securing the assets from SE.
7. Secure the supply deliveries, managing the risk mitigation plans with suppliers and anticipating proactively the necessary reminders.
8. Participate in margin improvement by closely monitoring and controlling supplier changes & claims as well as supply chain resources during execution.
9. Achieve qualification of supplier and evaluation of performance for service and material purchases.
10. Contribute as a team member to better serve the customer, taking into consideration the change orders and the expectations from customers, selecting flexible suppliers.
What will help you to be successful?
1. You should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience, ideally in a procurement role and proven track record as a Senior Purchaser.
2. Experience in the EPC business environment is highly appreciated.
3. Experience in the full scope of purchases (including advanced negotiation and contract management).
4. Strong customer orientation.
5. Good project process understanding, besides rigorous governance and process management.
6. Autonomy, sense of responsibility and commitment, faultless ethic.
7. Proximity management and management by participation.
8. Team player and builder.
9. Proven ability to work inside international cross-functional teams.
10. Leadership and cooperation skills.
11. Ability for exposure to Management Committee.
12. Fluent in English and Spanish is mandatory. Other languages are nice to have.
13. Technical degree – preference for engineering subjects.
14. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.
