At Q-tech, we are partnering with a leading European tech-driven organization to find a Squad Tech Lead to join one of their most strategic cloud platforms.
This is not just another engineering role — you will be part of building a large-scale identity and access platform within a next-generation cloud ecosystem, with millions of users and real business impact across Europe.
About the role
You will lead a cross-functional squad responsible for a core Identity platform (IDP), focused on authentication, authorization and access management.
The team operates with full ownership: you build it, you run it, you scale it.
As Squad Tech Lead, you will act as a hands-on Engineering Manager, combining leadership, delivery ownership and strong technical decision-making.
What will you do?
You will play a key role across three areas:
Team leadership
- Lead and grow a team of 7–10 engineers
- Support their development through feedback and mentoring
- Ensure a healthy, high-performing team environment
- Participate in hiring and team scaling
Delivery ownership
- Own the end-to-end delivery of your squad
- Drive planning, prioritization and execution
- Ensure high-quality outcomes with a strong time-to-market mindset
- Identify and unblock risks and dependencies
Technical leadership
- Guide technical decisions and architecture discussions
- Ensure scalable, reliable and maintainable solutions
- Support the team in solving complex challenges
- Balance technical excellence with business needs
What are we looking for?
Experience
- Background as a Backend Engineer
- Experience as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager
- Proven track record delivering complex systems
- Experience leading teams and owning delivery
- English required (international environment)
Technical environment
- Cloud-native environments and distributed systems
- Kubernetes and infrastructure ownership
- Backend development (Go is a plus)
- Experience or exposure to Identity / Authentication systems (IDP, SSO, OAuth, etc.) is highly valued
Soft skills
- Clear and structured communication
- Pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to make decisions with incomplete information
- Curiosity and willingness to learn
