The Role
As an Agile PMO Excellence Lead, you will support the Digital Strategy and Technology leadership in overseeing and optimizing the entire lifecycle of all IT & Digital initiatives.
You will be responsible for various methods and practices, provisioning capabilities, and improving the overall agile and Projects, Program and Portfolio Management maturity. This dual function involves integrating the delivery of the organization's portfolio of projects, products, and structured work efforts to ensure they are manageable, consistent, and aligned with overarching goals.
This role will develop and support a learning model through mentorship and coaching, creating training and continuous improvement initiatives. The Agile PMO Excellence Lead embodies and enables an agile culture.
In This Role, You Will:
* Lead the identification and implementation of project, program, and portfolio management processes, governance, methods, tools, guidelines, and standards to establish a stable framework supporting project, program, and portfolio teams and stakeholders.
* Develop and guide our Enterprise PMO Framework integrating agile practices, establishing systems, processes, and ways of working to sustain high-performing teams.
* Ensure consistency of the Digital Strategy & Tech PMO operating methodology and associated processes.
* Monitor PMO practices adoption through KPIs and review opportunities for improvement, including automation, to achieve higher maturity in project, program, and portfolio management.
* Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to the Enterprise PMO staff, project, program, portfolio, and product management communities, and leadership as needed.
* Evolve and improve the interdependencies between business models, IT delivery models, and operating practices, integrating waterfall, iterative, and agile delivery models into a cohesive delivery strategy.
* Support the Business in structuring and assembling new agile teams across functions and layers, managing these through all phases of the Demand Management process.
What We're Looking For:
* Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field with ten or more years of experience in combined (waterfall and agile) environments, with relevant certifications.
* Experience in a Direct to Consumer Business (Digital Commerce, Retail).
* Over ten years of overall experience in IT and business/industry.
* Experience leading PMO transformation towards Agile.
* Effective communication, documentation, and training skills for IT, Financial, and Business concepts to leaders and PMO staff.
* Knowledge of agile or lean methodologies (Lean, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
* Program management skills and experience, with proficiency in productivity tools.
* Leadership skills to develop and communicate strategic vision and motivate staff in a matrixed environment.
* Strong influencing and negotiation skills where resources are not directly controlled.
* Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills.
