We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team of experts working on cutting-edge data solutions. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines on Azure, supporting business insights, machine learning models, and real-time analytics.
IMPORTANT: This is a hybrid position in Barcelona.
What do you need to be part of this project?
Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines on Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
* Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes.
* Work with structured and unstructured data, ensuring performance and scalability.
* Design and manage data lakes and data warehouses using Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
* Implement data governance best practices, including security, access control, and lineage tracking.
Database & Storage Optimization
* Work with SQL-based data processing (Azure SQL, Synapse, Delta Lake, Cosmos DB).
* Optimize queries and indexing strategies for large-scale datasets.
Automation & DevOps for Data
* Deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Bicep.
* Automate deployments and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and ArgoCD.
* Implement observability using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, and Elastic Stack.
* Ensure system health, data quality, and pipeline performance with logging and alerting.
* Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to deliver robust solutions.
* Follow agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban to ensure iterative improvements.
Requirements:
Must-Have Technical Skills
* Big Data & Storage: SQL, Spark, Delta Lake, and Cosmos DB.
* Data Pipeline Development: Python, PySpark, SQL, and Bash scripting.
* Automation & IaC: Terraform, Bicep, and Ansible.
* CI/CD & DevOps: Azure DevOps, GitOps, Kubernetes (AKS), and Docker.
Nice-to-Have Skills
* Familiarity with Kafka, Event Hub, or Stream Analytics for real-time processing.
* Knowledge of machine learning pipelines and MLOps concepts.
* Experience in business intelligence (Power BI, Looker, Tableau).
Languages:
* French (Plus!)

* Hybrid, 2-3x per week at the office.
