Field Application Engineer (Generalist FAE)

What the role involves:

As a Field Application Engineer (FAE) you will be exposed to and trained on the portfolio of the world's top semiconductor manufacturers that offer cutting‑edge technology solutions. You will work with and recommend engineering solutions to original equipment manufacturers across your market segments including automotive, industrial, military, commercial, medical, solid‑state lighting, and many others.

The prime responsibility of a Generalist Field Applications Engineer (gFAE) is to provide Applications and Design Solutions to the Company’s customer base, utilising previous design and product knowledge gained through education, experience as well as training seminars held by the Manufacturers for which the Company is franchised.

Do you have:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Degree in Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum of five years design experience either in the field or with an electronics company.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and work under pressure.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your digital mindset for projects development to another level. You’ll work alongside young and proactive teammates.

You will create, design, improve and add new features to new and legacy applications to be offered to the customers. Day‑to‑day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Troubleshooting and Engineering Team), embedded hardware and software, web application troubleshooting and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of creating, monitoring, fixing and managing the performance of new and already deployed applications, ensuring that the availability, reliability and usability of the solutions is optimal, but also support the improvement and evolutions of the current cloud architecture both in AWS and Azure environment.

We’ll look to you for:

- Embedded SW development. Support the development and maintenance of embedded SW to facilitate the data management between the data generated by the devices and the cloud applications using technologies such as Python, C++, bash, etc.
- BI Dashboards development. Design and embed dashboards created under different frameworks such as PowerBI and Tableau in the web applications, adding new features and tools, making the application more flexible and easier to adapt to the customer requests.
- Data management. Support and generate the dataframes compatible with the web applications, since every embedded system will provide data in multiple formats, using technologies such as R.
- Hardware troubleshooting. Understand the deployed hardware to design and troubleshoot solutions to be/ already deployed in the fleet.

All about you

- Degree in computer science, telecommunications, electronics or related engineering field.
- 2‑3 years of experience in similar positions.
- Experience developing SW applications in most common languages.
- Experience working with data.
- Experience with electronic systems development and deployment.
- Fluent Spanish and intermediate English are required.
