Clinical Field Service Engineer (Mechatronics)
The main requirement is that the engineer understands complex mechanical systems and how the subsystems within the machine interact with each other to find the issue. Experience with medical devices is a plus, since it will be very useful for the trainings and the interactions with physicians.

Role Overview
We are looking for a field-based engineer with around 2–4 years of experience to take responsibility for the installation, maintenance, and performance of sophisticated medical systems across customer locations. This position is ideal for someone comfortable operating autonomously in clinical settings while staying closely aligned with internal engineering and quality functions.
You will be instrumental in maintaining high system availability, supporting end users, and feeding back practical insights to improve product performance and service processes. The role also involves overseeing the setup and commissioning of new equipment, acting as a reliable technical contact for customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities across customer sites, taking ownership of planning and execution
* Perform equipment installations, system start-ups, repairs, and routine inspections, ensuring full functionality and compliance
* Serve as the primary technical contact in the field, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues independently
* Take accountability for system performance within your assigned region, identifying recurring issues and driving improvements
* Work closely with internal teams to communicate field insights that support product and service enhancements
* Ensure all service records and documentation are completed accurately and in line with regulatory standards
* Contribute to fault investigations, supporting root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
* Provide hands-on technical support and user guidance on-site, ensuring safe and effective operation of equipment
* Coordinate with third-party vendors or service partners where required, ensuring work is completed to the expected standard
* Support remote diagnostics and escalate more complex technical issues when necessary
* Regular travel within Spain & across Europe (up to 5-10 clinic visits a month)
Candidate Profile
* Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline
* Approximately 2–4 years of experience in a service, maintenance, or technical support role, ideally within a regulated industry
Required Skills & Experience
* Practical experience working with mechanical and electrical systems, with a strong foundation in mechatronics
* Confident fault-finding and problem-solving abilities in real-world environments
* Ability to interpret technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings
* Exposure to regulated industries such as medical devices, laboratories, or similar sectors
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks independently
* Comfortable working in customer-facing environments with clear and professional communication skills
* Willingness to travel regularly as part of a field-based role
Desirable Experience
* Experience working within hospitals or clinical environments
* Familiarity with quality standards and regulated documentation frameworks (e.g., ISO 13485)
* Previous involvement in equipment installation and commissioning at customer sites
* Additional language skills (e.g., German or other European languages)
