Engineering PM - Hybrid - Igorre, Spain
We are looking for an Engineering Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of engineered pressure equipment and heat exchangers for customers in the Energy, Oil & Gas and Hydrogen sectors. You will manage scope, schedule, cost and stakeholders, ensuring safe execution and outstanding customer experience from kick-off through delivery and site activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects for the design and manufacturing of pressure equipment & heat exchangers from order intake to delivery.
- Own project planning and scheduling: define milestones, track progress, resources, risks and critical path.
- Manage project budgets (typical range €1–5M): cost control, forecasting, and timely reporting.
- Act as main customer interface: regular reporting, steering meetings, alignment on technical and commercial topics.
- Coordinate internal functions (engineering, procurement, quality, production, logistics) and external partners.
- Manage suppliers & subcontractors: RFQs, technical evaluations, expediting, and FAT/SAT support.
- Proactively manage change: evaluate variations, prepare change orders, and negotiate cost overruns/claims when required.
Your Ideal Background
- Engineering degree (Mechanical / Industrial / Chemical or similar) with a strong technical mindset.
- Proven Project Management experience in engineering/EPC environments
- Solid experience in project planning (MS Project or equivalent) and progress tracking.
- Experience delivering industrial projects in the €1–5M range with scope/cost/schedule accountability.
- Client-facing experience and confidence discussing deviations, change orders and cost overruns.
- Supplier management experience (commercial & technical coordination).
- Advanced English (C1 or equivalent) and Spanish – spoken and written.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and assembly works as required.
Technical Skills
- Instrumentation and industrial systems interfaces (signals, I/O lists, hook-ups, basic control philosophy).
- Pressure equipment and heat exchangers: specifications, codes/standards exposure (e.G., ASME), documentation and QA/QC.
- Understanding of procurement, manufacturing and inspection processes for engineered-to-order equipment.
