Main role:
* Day to day reporting & performance monitoring of Baobab Collection group activities
* Business partnering and driving value-creating initiatives across commercial and operating teams
* Develop and control of Inventory and Margins processes / reporting / accounting impacts
* Development, maintenance and key user of group reporting tools (PBI, Emasphère, Odoo), Finance IT
* Assistance to the CFO and Chief Accountant during month and year end closing processes
Main responsibilities and key activities:
Reporting, analysis, partnering, closing
* Preparation of monthly financial reporting decks: financial reporting consolidation, variance analysis, bank covenants, coordination of explanations with the accounting teams, management reviews and questions.
* Deep understanding of P&L, B/S, Cash Flow statements, and monthly KPIs
* Responsible for the Forecasting, Budgeting processes (accounting teams to Emasphère) and forecasting
* Help management further develop KPIs & reporting along business requests, including margins / profitability / cash flows / Balance Sheets analysis
* Business partnering on strategic projects across business lines including but not limited to supply chain optimization initiatives and pricing strategy
* Support company’s international expansion and investments across the business and regions
Financial reporting tools, key user
* Be the internal expert in Emasphère (Baobab Collection group consolidation and reporting tool) and Power BI (sales/margins reporting).
* Get trained on those 2 solutions, with the aim to maintain and further develop their capabilities
* Develop and maintain, help improve reports / KPI’s created in those systems
* Liaise with IT and external consultants in order to keep data integrity into the systems
* Be comfortable in using different sources of data for integer reporting, and in helping automating data interfaces to our key financial reporting tools
* Position himself over time as the group Key User for finance reporting tools
* Become an Odoo finance key user.
* Drive improvements in inventory valuation in Odoo
* Monthly control of the standard cost process across systems (inventory, margins)
* Support in developing new group management report P&L along std cost / variable costs set up
Assistance to the CFO and Chief Accounting Officer
* Participate in process improvements (systems or other) impacting group finance and accounting teams
* Support Chief Accounting Officer and accounting teams during month end process
* Monthly consolidation of accounts in Emasphère
* Provide support during the annual audit of the group across legal entities
* Support the CFO and Chief Accounting Officer in coordinating outside consultants, in
* The yearly legal consolidation exercise
* The follow up of each affiliate’s official annual accounts / tax declarations processes
* PBI, Emasphère initiatives
* Support CFO in his other responsibilities, including Tax structuring, Legal, IT, Facility related matters
Qualifications and Experience:
* MSc from Business school
* Financial management (Financial Planning & Analysis), audit, controlling or M&A/ Corporate finance experience of 7+years, with a focus on data management, financial reporting and stakeholder support
Competencies:
* Strong analytical and synthetic skills
* Proficiency in (including ability to maintain or act as internal expert in) digital finance tools such as Power BI, Emasphère, ERP Power BI,
* An Excel master, ideally Power BI and Emasphere intimate, Odoo knowledge a plus
* Ability to easily interact with local accounting teams, management, board members, external consultants
* Proficiency in French and English
* Autonomy, sense of initiative, self-starter, hands-on, ability to work remotely from management
