About the team you are joining
Reporting to the Regional Director of OperationsSafety and Security (Airport Operations & Security Europe), thecandidate will manage airport charges campaigns across the European Region.
What your day would be like
Work closely with the airport developmentand charges experts in both the Region and Central to identify anddevelop agreed strategies for specific airport charges and infrastructuredevelopment following global standards and guidelines;
Represent the airline communityinterest at airport charges consultation, regulatory developments andindustrial litigation procedures;
Provide expert support to airlines and engage constructivelywith airport owners/operators and authorities to ensure airport capitalexpenditure is demand driven, cost effective, prioritized and addressesairline’s needs;
Work with Airports and Governments in the Region towardsendorsement of crucial industry positions (Airport charges Directive, Singletill, privatization, concessions, etc), in coordination with IATA internal teams fosteringthe implementation of effective economic regulation at key airports acrossEurope;
Work with Supervisory Authorities and States to addressairline requirements at major airports. Particularly hub airports served byIATA member airlines, that are identified by the relevant internal and externalstakeholders;
Conduct fact finding missions with and on behalf of IATASubject Matter Experts to determine underlying rationale, scale, and cost ofproposed airport development / capacity enhancement programs in the Region;
In addition to airports, support or lead the broader OSS agenda asdetermined by Regional Director.
We would love to hear from you if you have
A University degree in Engineering or Economics; suitableexperience may be considered in lieu of professional qualification;
Minimum of 5 years experience with airport/ANSP charges;
High motivation with proven team work ability;
A self-starter approach with ability to proactively engagewith stakeholders and progress work goals;
Excellent communication skills with ability to influencesenior stakeholders;
Experience in making clear presentations and preparingreports based on technical merits and facts;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and are fluent in both writtenand spoken English; other languages (German, or French) would be an asset.
