Financial Analyst – EMEA
Mattel EMEA seeks a Financial Analyst to join the Brand Finance team in Barcelona. In this role you will be a strategic partner to the business, supporting reporting, analysis, periodic close activities, forecasting and annual planning, and playing a key role in the price‑setting process across the EMEA markets for Mattel’s portfolio of brands.
Key Responsibilities
Support the item activation and price‑setting process for several brands.
Contribute to the development and implementation of the regional pricing strategy.
Be super‑user of the Line Planning Tool.
Execute various pricing‑related tasks, analyses and reports.
Partner with key teams across Marketing, Finance and Planning.
Support markets in their display set‑up process.
Lead the direct import process.
Manage local A&P reporting, spend, forecasting and accrual for some markets.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience supporting pricing governance, global deployment and localized implementation.
Proven pricing experience in a global‑facing role across cross‑cultural environments (Retail, FMCG, CPG or Toys & Entertainment).
Experience with digital tools or platforms related to commercial or investment management.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and familiarity with data visualization or BI tools (e.g., Tableau).
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
Solid understanding of financial principles including pricing elasticity, ROI, P&L impact and investment efficiency.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills – able to interpret complex data, generate insights and turn them into actionable recommendations.
Deep understanding of consumer behaviour, the retail landscape and commercial levers.
