We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to provide client-side quality oversight on a major construction project. You will ensure that the General Contractor and key subcontractors deliver work in line with contract requirements, project quality standards, and local statutory obligations.
This role requires a strong on-site presence, disciplined governance, and a clear focus on right-first-time delivery and evidence-based closeout.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the client quality lead on site, providing independent oversight of the General Contractor's Quality Management System (QMS) and QA/QC execution across CSA and MEP scopes.
Review, challenge, and track the Quality Management Plan (QMP) and supporting procedures to ensure they are submitted on time, kept current, and followed in the field.
Verify that Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Inspection Test Records (ITRs), test packs, and torque logs are approved, implemented, and properly documented with traceable evidence.
Ensure First-of-Kind (FOK) installations / mock-ups are planned and approved before mass installation and used as the benchmark for repeat works.
Conduct routine site walks and targeted inspections to verify workmanship, specification compliance, protection of works, and readiness for progressive acceptance.
Attend and actively contribute to weekly QA/QC meetings, ensuring clear actions, owners, and follow-up.
Support monthly Quality Business Reviews, reporting on quality performance, trends, escalations, and priorities.
Plan and execute minimum 3 quality audits per month (process compliance, field verification, subcontractor audits) and track corrective actions through to verified closure.
Support the QA/QC walkdown programme (W1, W2, W3, AGT, W4, TOC), including readiness checks, issue capture, and closure verification.
Ensure all quality issues are captured, owned, tracked, and closed with evidence.
Oversee NCR governance, ensuring timely acknowledgement, robust resolution planning, root cause analysis (when required), and verification of effectiveness.
Monitor quality KPIs and trends (RFT, time-to-close, ageing backlog, recurring defects) and escalate risks early.
Coordinate with Construction, Integration, and Commissioning teams to prevent late-stage defect push into Acceptance/IST/Turnover phases.
What We're Looking For
10+ years of experience in construction quality / QAQC on large-scale projects (data centers / mission critical environments strongly preferred)
Strong working knowledge of:
Quality Management Plans (QMP)
ITP/ITR governance
Test packs, torque logs, traceability requirements
NCR management and audits
Evidence-based closeout processes
Confident communicator with strong on-site presence, able to challenge non-compliance professionally and drive closure.
