The Green Recruitment Company is in the search of a Legal Counsel to provide legal, contractual, and compliance support across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure assets.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including NDAs, notices, settlement letters, and commercial agreements.
- Coordinate with external counsel and manage legal advice.
- Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Support dispute resolution and litigation processes.
- Maintain corporate housekeeping and ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements.
- Oversee contract management, including renewals, expiries, milestones, and obligations.
- Manage insurance matters for the Iberian portfolio, including renewals, claims, and reporting.
- Supervise Health & Safety advisors and ensure audits, drills, and reporting are completed.
- Implement internal policies, procedures, and KYC processes.
- Maintain document control and ensure accurate archiving.
- Develop best practices and templates across multiple jurisdictions.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and recommend mitigation actions.
- Provide ad‑hoc support on notarial, regulatory, contractual, and corporate matters.
Requirements:
- Plus 5 years of experience in a law firm, private practice, or in‑house legal team.
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, ideally in the renewable energy sector.
- Experience managing solar and BESS project contracts.
- Background working across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and summarise complex matters efficiently.
- Native Spanish and professional English; other European languages are a plus.
- Degree in Law (preferred) or Business Administration.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, multicultural environment.
- Legally authorised to work in Spain.
