The positions are located at NAVSTA ROTA, Child and Youth Program (CYP). They are targeted towards students interested in temporary employment within CYP. Teens will be hired to work at the Child Development Center or School Age Care.
Duties
Teen hires will assist in overseeing activities and services for authorized patrons, including providing general information on facility and equipment use. They will help in programming, planning, and implementing various activities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulations. They will work with staff to maintain cleanliness of facilities and assist in preparing areas for scheduled events. They may also help in maintaining routine reports, performing clerical tasks, or general maintenance.
Conditions of Employment
* Applicants must be between 14 and 18 years old, or still enrolled in high school.
* Must pass a pre-employment physical examination.
* Must complete all background checks per PL 101-647, including Installation Record Checks.
* Subject to immunization requirements, including the influenza vaccine, for working with children.
* Must be physically capable of standing, bending, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
* Male candidates aged 18 or older must certify registration with the Selective Service System (proof required).
* Availability to attend the job fair on March 28, 2025, from 9:30 to 12:30 at School Age Care, Bldg#41.
* Applicants aged 18 must complete all background checks, including fingerprinting and state checks.
Qualifications
Applicants should be between 14 and 18 years old or still in high school. They must be willing to learn CYP policies, rules, and regulations, and possess good communication skills. Basic knowledge of mathematics and recreational activities is desirable.

The program duration is approximately from June 16, 2025, to July 18, 2025.
