Role Description This is a full-time, on-site General Manager role based in Madrid. The General Manager will oversee daily operations of the cantina, including opening and closing procedures, floor management, and ensuring smooth service throughout all shifts. Responsibilities include supervising and scheduling staff, training team members, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive work environment. The role will manage inventory, coordinate with suppliers for food, coffee, natural wine, and sake, and monitor costs to meet financial targets. The General Manager will maintain quality and safety standards, address guest feedback, and support marketing and promotional activities to grow the business.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant management, ideally in a high-volume or all-day dining concept.
* Strong leadership and people management skills, including team training, coaching, and performance management.
* Operational expertise in scheduling, inventory control, ordering, and cost management.
* Excellent customer service skills and the ability to resolve issues calmly and professionally.
* Knowledge of food and beverage service; interest or experience with coffee, natural wine, and sake is an advantage.
* Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and consistency.
* Ability to work on-site in Madrid with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
* Effective communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or additional languages is a plus.
* Commitment to maintaining an inclusive, respectful, and safe workplace for all team members.

* Proven Financial, P&L ownership
* Technology tools for restaurants (Square, Tspoonlab, Slack, etc)
* Previous experience managing multisite operations
* 50 people+ under management
