The Centro Nacional de Análisis Genómico (CNAG) is one of the largest Genome Sequencing Centers in Europe. CNAG researchers participate in major International Genomic Initiatives, as well as in several EU-funded projects.

🧬 The area of People covers Personnel Administration & Labour Relations, Training & Development, Talent Attraction & Acquisition and Strategic HR Projects.
We are looking for a talented “People Officer” who is willing to start the challenge of working in one of the most important Science Research Centres in Spain/Europe.
Reporting to the Head of People and within the Aministration Unit, the newcomer will perform and execute activities related to personnel administration coordination, labour relations and reporting, and will participate in engagement projects within the HR Area.
The People Officer is responsible for:
🧬 Contract management: Execute new hiring, temporary contracts coordination (contract’s renewals/modifications) and terminations.
~ Tax completion/management of the personal income tax process (“IRPF”).
~ Provide employees with guidance on the People Labour policies and procedures, regarding benefits, holidays, guidelines and other details of its interest.
~ This role will also participate in HR projects related to his/her area of expertise
🧬 Postgraduate Studies in Labour Relations will be a plus.
Knowledge of Spanish Labour Law.
Proficiency in written and verbal Spanish and English.
Experience in HR & Payroll Software (SAP, A3, Workday, etc)
Proficiency in MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.
Used to manage immigration procedures (knowledge of entry conditions, VISAS).
Fluent in Catalan
Contract duration: Full-time position (37,5h/week). Permanent Contract.
