Senior Database Administrator
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mid-level/Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with a passion for technology to join our team in Madrid. In this role, you will be part of a team of experienced DBAs responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of high-performance databases supporting critical applications and real-time data processing.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure the high availability, performance, and security of databases.
2. Optimize database queries and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
3. Implement and maintain database backups and disaster recovery plans.
4. Monitor database activity and proactively identify potential issues.
5. Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth integration of databases with applications.
6. Perform daily monitoring of database health and performance.
7. Analyze and optimize database queries to improve response times.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues efficiently.
9. Document database procedures and configurations.
10. Participate in capacity planning and resource allocation for databases.
11. Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices.
Requirements
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
2. Experience with Elasticsearch.
3. Expert knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
4. Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python.
5. Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
6. Experience in database performance tuning and optimization.
7. Knowledge of cloud-based database technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
9. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
10. Proficient communication skills in Spanish are required, with basic knowledge of English.
