**About Kerionics**
At Kerionics, we turn science into impact.
Born from the Institute of Chemical Technology (ITQ-UPV) and CSIC, we develop high-temperature electrolyzers based on **Solid Oxide Electrolysis (SOEL)** — the most efficient technology to produce green hydrogen.
With over a decade of research in advanced ceramic materials, we’re now scaling this breakthrough to help **decarbonize energy-intensive industries** where fossil fuel replacement remains a major challenge.
**We are launching a strategic project to build an automated production plant in the Valencia region**, supported by a €12.8M public grant, within a total investment of €38M. This facility will be a cornerstone of our industrial scale-up and innovation roadmap.
The Start of Production (SOP) is planned for 2028, with project completion by June 2029.
**Who are we**
We’re a growing multicultural team of 25+ people, united by the same purpose**:building a cleaner future through technological innovation.**
You’ll find us testing cells in the lab, running pilot stacks, or putting our electrolyzers systems through rigorous tests to make sure every membrane delivers its best. We’re a small, passionate team with big industrial ambitions — engineers, scientists and builders from around the world working side by side.
**What are we looking for**
We’re building our **first industrial plant**— and we’re looking for someone who will make it happen.
As Industrial Project Manager, you’ll lead the design, construction and commissioning of an automated facility and machinery that will mark a turning point in Kerionics’ industrial scale-up.
You’ll define technical specifications, select the site, manage suppliers, and ensure flawless execution in terms of safety, cost, timing, and confidentiality.
**What will you be doing**
Your work will directly shape the backbone of Kerionics’ industrial operations for years to come.
**Project Definition & Planning**
- Define specifications for facilities, utilities, machines, and automation systems.
- Evaluate and select the plant site among proposed locations in the Valencia area.
- Develop and manage the overall project timeline, milestones, and budget.
**Supplier Management**
- Launch RFQs and coordinate with suppliers for:
- Facility modifications.
- Media network installations.
- Cleanroom construction.
- Machinery to produce our electrolyzers.
- Internal logistics automation (transport, storage, handling).
- Robotic production equipment for SOEL electrolyzers.
- In-process and end-of-line quality control systems.
- Laboratory equipment for sampling and life requalification.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to select preferred suppliers and negotiate contracts.
**Execution & Oversight**
- Supervise the implementation of the plant with strict adherence to:
- Safety protocols for subcontractors and Kerionics staff.
- Project timeline and budget.
- Security and confidentiality requirements.
- Ensure compliance with EU and local regulations, especially regarding grant funding.
