Senior Software Engineer
Verisure, operating under two brand names (Securitas Direct & Verisure) is seeking a talented, innovative, passionate Senior Software Engineer The role will part of a growing and talented Technology team and will report directly to the Team Lead of Continuous Delivery Experience.

Technology plays an important role in our value creation. Our team is responsible for providing the Technical Platform that our developers use to build, deploy, release, and run their software.
This is a critical role that will help the Technology organization in the evolution of our current technology platform, fostering our developer’s autonomy, keeping scalability, security, quality, and reliability in mind.
As a Software Engineer, member of our Continuous Delivery Experience team, you will contribute to building the Platform that will improve our Developers Experience, with a focus on a self-service approach.
Responsibilities will include:
- Be part of the technical team responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and maintaining our internal Platform as a Service, based on microservices, with and event driven approach.
- Participate in technical decisions, discussions, and tradeoffs, to deliver a technical solution design and implementation.
- Apply technical standards, patterns, and best practices to the solution provided.
- Ensure software quality and security are considered as part of the solution, including the generation and execution of appropriate tests, with focus on testing automation.
- Constantly seek continuous improvement and optimization of the system. This involves staying aware of the latest trends and advances in the industry, as well as identifying possible areas of improvement within the existing solution.
- Consider observability as part of the product to be implemented, in order to get an easy operation of the system.

Working under a Hybrid Model, you’ll work from home and at our Madrid offices.

Required Qualifications:
- Master/ B.A in Computer Engineering.
- Fluent level of English.
- 6 years of probable experience in IT.
- Experience working with Microservices and Events & Services oriented architectures, including API & Events definition.
- Broad knowledge of different programming languages paradigms, specially Object Oriented ones like JAVA, and software development frameworks, like Spring Framework.
- Comprehension of different database paradigms, like SQL and no-SQL
- Solid understanding of design practices and system architecture, considering implications and trade-offs of reliability, scalability, security, operation costs, adoption path recruitments.
Will be a plus:
- Public/private cloud experience
- Experience working with Platform as a Service solutions
- Experience in Agile Frameworks and Devops principles
