Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Viladecans for an ASIC Engineer specializing in Signal Processing and Digital IC Design. The role involves day-to-day tasks such as designing and implementing custom ASIC circuits, optimizing logic and physical designs, working on RTL design, and applying knowledge of advanced computer architecture. The ASIC Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create robust, high-performance microelectronics solutions in alignment with project objectives.
DSP Architecture & Implementation
Translate signal processing algorithms into efficient DSP architectures suitable for hardware implementation
Develop fixed-point models, simulations, and performance evaluations
Implement and validate DSP blocks
Optimize designs for performance, power consumption, and resource efficiency
Digital IC / ASIC Design
Design and develop digital integrated circuits (ASICs)
Contribute to RTL design (Verilog/VHDL/SystemVerilog) and hardware architecture definition
Support synthesis, timing analysis, and verification flows
Collaborate in the integration of advanced technologies (e.G., CNT-based or novel semiconductor approaches) into IC design
Prototyping, Integration & Validation
Support implementation and testing of designs on FPGA or hardware platforms
Participate in system integration
Define and execute validation and benchmarking tests
Analyze system performance and iterate designs accordingly
Contribution to R&D Projects and Deliverables
Contribute to technical deliverables, reports, and documentation within funded R&D projects
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (e.G., research centers, system integrators)
Ensure alignment between technical developments and project milestones/deliverables
Support reuse of developed architectures in future projects and internal product development
Innovation & Technology Development
Explore and propose innovative signal processing solutions
Contribute to internal IP generation (algorithms, architectures, IC designs)
Stay updated on state-of-the-art DSP xsgfvud techniques, and semiconductor design trends
Support the development of IDEADED's long-term capabilities in advanced electronics and chip design
Qualifications
Proficiency in Circuit Design and Logic Design
Expertise in Physical Design and RTL Design methodologies
Experience in system-level development and signal processing technologies is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
Demonstrated ability to innovate and make connections between the point of view of signal processing, hardware implementation, and system-level performance
Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Self-motivated, enthusiastic, generous, and responsible, with experience to work in international projects and teams.
