Our Barcelona studio is looking for a Game Designer to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Design fun and immersive gameplay mechanics, meta‑game features and stories, following briefings and direction from your lead.
- Take care of all aspects of game design: prototype mechanics, benchmark references, document, implement in game, test and fine‑tune.
- Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, especially UI fakes, flows and overall User Experience.
- Carry out creative, benchmarking, documentation and analysis tasks.
- Follow‑up, maintain and continuously improve assigned features.
- Coordinate with art and development teams and the associated producer.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Game Design of PC/Console racing games.
- Strong knowledge of Game Design foundations (3Cs, gameplay systems, AI, learning curve, difficulty balancing, progression balancing, UI, accessibility).
- Ability to convey ideas concisely and formalize complex concepts.
- Good UI and documentation skills.
- High visual creativity.
- Ability to illustrate or prototype ideas visually using industry tools (Photoshop, PowerPoint, Figma, Confluence, Sketch‑up, 3D Studio Max, Unity, etc.).
- Knowledge of classic console and freemium mobile game market.
- Strong motivation and communication skills as part of the project team.
- Openness to feedback and constant self‑critique to achieve quality.
- Good level of English.
