Join Telefónica Scientific Research as a Doctoral Candidate embedded in the GENOME Doctoral Network to advance AI resilience in telecom environments. You will work on context-aware and evolutionary frameworks for AI resilience in 6G/O-RAN contexts, balancing theory and real-world validation in collaboration with academia and industry. A 5-month secondment at NEC Europe adds industrial exposure and impact.

• Explore Human-in-the-Loop approaches translating operator intent into adaptive system requirements and network policies
• Design evolutionary and genetic optimisation methods for context embeddings and prompt adaptation in LLM-based resilience pipelines
• Investigate large-context processing strategies to handle security and network-management data
• Develop explainable AI mechanisms integrated with transformer-based models to balance performance and explainability
• Design and validate multi-objective deep reinforcement learning architectures to identify and mitigate risks in peer-to-peer and federated learning
• Evaluate the framework on operator-oriented and O-RAN/vRAN environments with a focus on securing AI-based network functions
• Produce high-quality scientific publications and contribute to project deliverables
• Attend meetings related to the GENOME project or other events
Responsabilidades
• Master's degree in a relevant field
• MSCA Mobility Rule: no more than 12 months residency in Spain in the last 3 years
• Eligibility xpzdshu to enrol in UPC doctoral programme
• Fluency in English (C1+)
• Hands-on Python experience and modern AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Hugging Face, TensorFlow)
• Strong foundation in ML, DL, transformers and neural networks
