Sustainability Lead

Sustainability Lead will lead the creation of a cross-functional working group focused on interpreting and delivering the global strategic direction. This role will work closely with the global sustainability team to establish sustainability goals and implement initiatives that support both short- and long-term targets towards Net Zero ambition. The individual will be the national expert on Deposit Return Schemes (DRS), will also be responsible for maintaining visibility over emerging sustainability trends, regulatory developments, and industry influences. The role involves partnering with the Global Sustainability function in Austria and collaborating with local business units, while benchmarking against industry best practices to drive effective and measurable sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities
Stakeholder Management
Work in partnership with our global sustainability team and other internal teams to design and implement the sustainability programme for Red Bull Spain. Create and lead a local cross-functional working group to implement sustainability programs, policies, and procedures. Partner with the Red Bull Regulatory team to review both current and future local sustainability regulatory requirements and inform local and global stakeholders as necessary. Own and manage relationships with key external partners (e.g., ANFABRA, DRS association, ECOEMBES) and build an effective network to understand common sustainability challenges. Respond to inquiries from internal and external teams regarding Red Bull sustainability practices with a focus on customer requests.
Be the Expert on Sustainability Area
Live and breathe the Red Bull philosophies and be active in driving forward the sustainability agenda. Ensure sustainability commitments and targets are appropriately embedded into key tools, systems, and ways of working. Data collection of sustainability metrics and report as necessary to internal and external stakeholders. Represent and communicate the sustainability strategy among senior leadership functions.
Requirements
Bachelor or Master's degree in Environmental Studies or relevant field.
Minimum of +10 years experience working in a similar role. Expertise in food/beverage industries, facilities, events and supply chain sustainability practices.
Experience establishing partnerships with suppliers, NGOs, and industry bodies.
Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework surrounding sustainability requirements.
Data Analysis & Reporting, capable of delivering sustainability KPIs for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Fluent English & Spanish written and spoken.
Passion for all sustainability matters.
Analytical capability.
Experience running projects and leading / influencing cross-functional teams.
