Senior Automation Tester – Onsite in Madrid

Start date: From 2 January 2026
Contract: 6–12 months (renewable)
Experience: Minimum 8 years
Daily rate: 265–280€ / day
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Automation Tester to join a high-impact digital transformation project in Madrid. This onsite role involves leading and executing automation testing activities while collaborating closely with development and business teams.

What You Will Do
* Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Playwright
* Collaborate with developers to identify automation opportunities
* Build and maintain test frameworks, scripts, and test data
* Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues
* Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices are followed
* Stay up to date with automation trends and new testing tools
Requirements
* ~8+ years hands‑on experience in automation testing
* ~3+ years working with TOSCA and Playwright
* Strong coding skills in JavaScript and/or TypeScript
* Solid knowledge of XPath, file upload, parallel test execution, download handling, and tab management
* Experience with TDD, BDD, Agile, and SDLC
* Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
Nice to Have
* Experience with CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins)
* Knowledge of Docker and containerization
* Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
Additional Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar
* Strong TOSCA expertise (AS1, AS2, AE1, AE2, TDS1, TDS2 certifications desirable)
* Experience in web, desktop, API, and DEX testingAbility to design and estimate automation frameworks
* Experience with customer interactions and stakeholder management
