About the role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Electrical Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will assist in designing and developing electrical systems for Kyoto projects. You’ll work closely with senior engineers to support project goals, ensure compliance with standards, and contribute to innovative engineering solutions. This position is based at our Office in Seville, Spain. Responsibilities Prepare consumer list and single-line diagram. Prepare short circuit calculation, voltage drop, cables and transformer sizing, lighting, UPS load calculations, and protection selectivity and coordination study. Generate project specifications and datasheets. Technical review of supplier documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, I&C, integration and project engineers. Help ensure that designs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations. Conduct site visits or inspections to support installation, commissioning, or maintenance as needed. Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in electrical engineering. Required skills & experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum 2- 4 years of experience in Renewable Energy and Industrial projects, detailed engineering, and construction. Experience with design software: ETAP, Caneco BT or similar and Dialux. Experience with AutoCAD 2D and knowledge of programming in Excel will be valued. Knowledge of the equipment usually installed in power and industrial plants: MV Switchgear, Power transformers, LV Switchgear, UPS… Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE,NEC). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative team environment.
