**Role Purpose.**
Responsible for two areas of Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Planned contingencies where GSCR is the central point of contact for designing and communicate Inbound to Manufacturing Contingency Plans derived from expected contingencies (local, regional, or national or European bank holidays as well as for major shutdown periods) as well as for central communication of production shift changes to the involved stakeholders or any other disruption that may affect the normal flow of material into a final destination.- Unexpected contingencies (based on natural disasters and/or socio-political, operational and/or hazards incidences, extreme weather conditions, strike actions,..) that require rapid reaction time,
fluid communication and follow up until end of the disruption. Single point of contact for critical information management, monitoring and reporting of in transit events as well as providing visual mapping of affected supply chain and recommending containment actions based on historical data.
**Accountabilities**
Planned Contingencies:
- To Generate and maintain all static data affecting Contingency Planning in FoE such as local, regional, national and European bank holidays, regional and national transport restrictions, as well as Plant, ODC and EDC closing days.- To design and communicate Inbound to Manufacturing Contingency Plans derived from expected and/or unexpected disruptions. Will need to design risk mitigation and containment solutions.- Operational complexity, multimodal transport and national and regional transport regulations and restrictions.- Design of LTL & FTL Contingency Planning Scenarios to be delivered monthly for FoE Plants, EDCs and ODCs and for major shutdown periods ( Christmas, Summer and Easter).
- Make strategic / adhoc recommendations by using available systems options in order to execute the designed Contingency Plans- Communication of production shift changes impact to ODC Service Providers.
Unplanned contingencies:
- Daily report of ongoing disruption incidences within the network and communications of operational incidences reported by Ops teams and daily weather forecast review & communication through standard communication flow, tools and processes.- Collect stakeholder information (suppliers, plants, carriers, ODC, EDC) through automated notification flow that allow incident commmunication, early and comprehensive risk management.
-Identify and propose containment actions for unplanned contingencies.- The role holder is expected to provide ad hoc support actions to minimize or negate adverse effect of network disruptions.
- Early escalation of roadblocks or expected delays within the generation of the standard FTL & LTL Contingency Plans- Early escalation to solve roadblocks for Contingency Planning implementation which involves vendor management of 3rd parties.
