Technical Business Development Manager - Nutraceuticals / CDMO
Hartmann Young is partnered with a rapidly-growing European CDMO specialising in the development and manufacturing of nutraceuticals, food supplements, and functional health products. With a network of 12 development and production sites across Europe and one of the industry’s broadest format portfolios, the company supports customers from early product development through large-scale commercial manufacturing for both emerging brands and global players.
The Role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager with a technical background, to drive new customer acquisition across Southern Europe, with an initial focus on Spain. This is a front-line growth role, focused on opening doors, winning new accounts, and translating customer needs into actionable opportunities for our development and manufacturing sites in Spain and Italy.
Key responsibilities include driving new customer acquisition by identifying, approaching, and winning mid‑to‑large nutraceutical, functional food, and sports nutrition brands, with a strong hunter mindset. You will act as a credible partner to customers by understanding product trends and technical requirements, translating needs into development and production opportunities, and coordinating closely with internal teams while managing the sales pipeline through CRM.
The Person
Ideally, you'll have:
* A strong hunter mentality with proven experience in outbound sales;
* A deep understanding of nutraceuticals, supplements, and functional foods (formulations, formats, trends, claims, and innovation cycles);
* A commercially sharp and technically curious mindset, able to engage founders, R&D teams, and buyers;
* Experience in complex, development-heavy CDMO-style sales with longer cycles;
* Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and collaborative with low ego;
* Fluency in Spanish and English is essential.
