The mission of this role
Be responsible for the General Ledger and ensure high-quality accounting execution, acting as a senior technical reference within the team and supporting alignment of accounting activities under the direction of the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as General Ledger ensuring accurate postings in SAP, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
* Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closings for the assigned entity in line with group timelines and instructions
* Review P&L, margins, and balance sheet accounts;
identify discrepancies and post corrections within established accounting policies
* Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on open items
* Coordinate tax-related activities with external advisors, under Finance Director guidance
* Prepare accounting documentation and support local statutory audits, escalating issues when required
* Ensure compliance with local GAAP, tax regulations, and internal accounting procedures
* Coordinate and oversee daily activities of the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate execution
* Act as a senior technical reference for accounting topics within the team
* Support alignment of accounting practices and closing timelines across entities
* Contribute to process improvements and standardization initiatives defined by Finance leadership
* Collaborate with other departments and entities to ensure accurate and consistent financial data
Requirements
* Accounting degree or equivalent experience
* Strong background in general accounting with solid knowledge of local GAAP and accounting principles
* Advanced MS Excel skills;
SAP knowledge is an asset
* Advanced English and Spanish level
* Strong technical ownership with reliable execution
* Solid judgment within established frameworks
* Clear, pragmatic communication style
* Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented
