Overview
J&J MedTech Surgery, formerly Ethicon, is looking for an Indirect Business Specialist. The role falls under MedTech Sales, Clinical Sales – Surgeons (Commission), within Business Enablement/Support. Locations: Alicante, Spain and Madrid, Spain.
Key Responsibilities
* Clinical Excellence: promote clinical excellence by educating others on the importance of incorporating in-depth clinical, procedural, and product expertise in alignment with customer priorities to develop innovative solutions that address current and future needs.
* Business Acumen: understand, coach, and guide others in incorporating financial acumen (pricing, impact of pricing, volume), analytics, and J&J and customer business expertise, including operational practices (marketing, account management), to create insights for business and account planning and ensure alignment with the overall regional or global strategy.
* Healthcare Ecosystem: navigate and translate changes in the external environment (value‑based healthcare economics; delivery and payment models; market dynamics; regulatory, legal and healthcare compliance requirements; industry; supply chain efficiencies), J&J, and the customer’s competitive landscape to quickly adapt sales strategies and identify opportunities across regions/areas.
* Strategic Selling: educate others on aligning the J&J MedTech selling process with each customer’s needs and priorities to build demand and identify new business opportunities. Leverage J&J MedTech resources across the matrix to guide sales execution, including resource allocation and account management best practices, to deliver sales results.
* Negotiation: apply advanced negotiating techniques that leverage an understanding of stakeholder’s strategic needs and J&J’s offerings to create long‑term internal and external partnerships. Gain commitment and maintain long‑term partnerships in complex negotiations, resulting in the successful creation of compliant business proposals and/or objectives that are mutually beneficial.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or biomedical.
* Fluent in English and Spanish.
* Excellent oral (including group presentations) and written communication skills, as well as solid organizational and time management abilities.
* Outstanding interpersonal and customer relationship-building skills.
* Analytical thinking, results‑oriented, teamwork and collaboration, integrity.
* Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and project management skills, including the ability to design, structure and lead projects.
Location Preference
Candidates based in the Levante region of Spain (e.g., Valencia, Alicante, Murcia) or in Madrid are preferred.
