Esade is a global academic institution known for the quality of its education, its international outlook, and its focus on holistic personal development, as well as for its strong ties to the business world. Our academic activity encompasses three main areas: education, research, and social debate. We aim to drive meaningful change through social commitment and innovation.
La oportunidad
ECSI is a research center at Esade Business School that works toward a world where people and organizations better understand and solve complex global challenges. We do so by developing research with rigor, reach, and relevance for and about social impact.
We engage in three synergetic areas of activity: research, teaching, and social debate. Research is at the core of what we do. ECSI brings together faculty and researchers in the areas of impact investing, impact entrepreneurship, impact measurement and management, and gender lens investing. Our unique approach aims to push the frontiers of social impact practice through the interplay of academic and applied research. We collaborate closely with a large network of industry partners to address concrete management challenges, and we leverage data for academic research to advance management theory and publish in top journals.
Our efforts in teaching and social debate are managed under the umbrella of our Impact Community, which strives to engage current and future leaders to transfer knowledge and influence policy and practice. In terms of teaching, ECSI aims to support our faculty in developing new courses and teaching materials, informed by research. In terms of social debate, ECSI has active presence in media, events, and conferences. A cross-cutting initiative is the Social Impact Lab, which provides enrichment activities for students wishing to specialize in social impact.
