Our Martos plant is one of the biggest sites within our Visibility Systems Business Group in charge of developing and manufacturing Lighting Products and Electronics.
As a System Design Leader in Valeo Martos, you will design cutting edge electronics for top car makers in the world, working in a fast‑paced, international and multicultural environment.
Your Mission
* Accountable for the deliverables of the system design discipline to ensure the success of the project in collaboration with the System Architect.
* Responsible for the detailed scheduling and budgeting of the Engineering discipline System design activities, with support of the Engineering discipline Department Manager / System Team Leader.
Your Responsibilities
* Comply with Engineering Disciplines Processes and Design Rules.
* Plan, monitor and control activities according to Engineering discipline PD of the PG/PL following CPM (CLEAN Project Management).
* In charge of the robust design/validation in line with the economical targets.
* Review internal requirements, customer requirements, specifications.
* Perform or support design calculations/simulations/coding/associated acceptance tests.
* Apply standardization rules, occasionally request destandardizations based on justifications.
* Prepare engineering discipline design reviews.
* Interface with the customer for the engineering discipline content.
* Report and upscale to the Product Technical Manager/Leader/Engineering and his hierarchical.
Scheduling & Budgeting
* Contribute to the identification of required resources, equipment and investments.
* Establish detailed breakdown of activities to meet milestones.
* Follow activities and spending of scope to meet budget and timing.
Management of Contributors
* Assign required work packages to contributors.
* Regular review with the hierarchical to check alignment between needs and availabilities.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Electronics Engineering Degree/Master, Telecommunications or equivalent experience.
* 5–7 years of experience in system design in automotive engineering or relevant industries.
* Knowledge of simulation and CAD tools (Simetrix, Pspice, Cadence, ...).
* Passion for the automotive industry.
* Negotiation English level is mandatory.
