Join a pioneering company at the forefront of innovation in high-performance two-wheeled mobility. We are seeking an experienced Head of Homologation and Safety to lead global certification and regulatory compliance efforts for advanced motorcycle systems.
In this strategic role, you will guide the full homologation lifecycle across international markets, ensuring all products meet stringent safety and approval standards. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and regulatory bodies to support market entry and ongoing compliance across a range of dynamic, design-led mobility platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead global homologation and certification activities for two-wheeled vehicles across Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific and other regions.
* Develop and execute regulatory strategies aligned with the vehicle development roadmap.
* Coordinate with approval authorities to obtain timely vehicle and component-level certifications.
* Interpret and implement standards such as UNECE, ISO, and AECQ to support product approvals.
* Conduct risk and failure analysis using FMEA, DFA, FTA and similar methods to ensure product safety.
* Oversee the issuance and control of regulatory documentation including COC and national vehicle type approvals.
* Collaborate closely with R&D, operations, legal and commercial teams to ensure design changes maintain compliance.
* Actively monitor global regulatory developments and adjust internal processes accordingly.
* Represent the company in industry groups and regulatory discussions related to motorcycle safety and homologation.
* Support recall processes and manage compliance for end-of-series vehicles where applicable.
About You
* Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Automotive, or Electrical Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
* Minimum 5 years' experience in homologation, regulatory compliance, or functional safety — specifically for motorcycles or comparable two-wheeled vehicles.
* Strong working knowledge of international homologation procedures and standards.
* Demonstrated ability to lead regulatory processes independently and cross-functionally.
* Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
* Proven ability to manage complex certification activities under evolving requirements.
Desirable:
* Hands-on experience in motorcycle-specific regulatory frameworks.
* Familiarity with ISO/SAE 21434 (cybersecurity for mobility platforms).
* Knowledge of PLM systems and document control tools.
