The Key Account Manager Europe is responsible for driving negotiations and delivering revenue quotas at the European level. They will create the overall account strategy and collaborate with various countries and regions, including Thermo Fisher's Corporate Accounts Team, to develop local strategies. The role involves developing relationships at the senior level within client accounts, primarily in the food manufacturing and contract testing sectors. The Manager will not have direct reports but must effectively manage complex business arrangements without authority.
A Day in the Life :
* Write an annual sales plan for all assigned customers based on the overall strategy, building and maintaining an opportunity pipeline.
* Achieve sales targets through organic growth, increasing market share, or launching new products.
* Coordinate key account activities across partners.
* Negotiate pricing and contract terms with customers, serving as the primary executive interface.
* Monitor changes in account sales and service levels.
* Coordinate with internal departments and authorized distributors for contract launches and renewals.
* Manage key business relationships and explore new business opportunities.
* Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to develop distribution and inventory strategies.
Qualifications :
* Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
* Proven experience in leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without authority.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data and metrics.
* Experience managing large accounts, geographies, and markets.
* Ability to build internal relationships and leverage company resources.
* Decisive, professional, and passionate about the role.
* Understanding of microbiological laboratory processes, regulations in the Food industry, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
* Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
