On behalf of a global client, we are looking for a highly skilled Senior SEO Automation Engineer to join our digital engineering team. This role focuses on building automation, tooling, and scalable solutions that improve website performance, search visibility, and operational efficiency across large, multi‐site web platforms.
Responsibilities:
* Design and build automation workflows for SEO audits, performance checks, and content validation.
* Develop internal tools, scripts, APIs, and services that streamline web operations.
* Translate SEO best practices into technical solutions, including structured data, metadata enforcement, sitemaps, and crawlability improvements.
* Integrate with platforms such as Google Search Console, analytics tools, and web crawlers to extract insights and automate actions.
* Implement automated checks for Core Web Vitals, accessibility, and SEO compliance.
* Build dashboards, monitoring, and alerts to detect anomalies and drive continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with engineering, SEO, product, and content teams to embed automation and SEO into platform architecture.
Requirements:
* 5–8 years of software engineering experience, ideally with large-scale web platforms.
* Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python.
* Proven experience creating automation tools, scripts, or internal engineering platforms.
* Hands-on technical SEO experience (crawling, indexing, structured data, canonicalization, sitemaps, robots.txt).
* Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, or similar tools.
* Understanding of Core Web Vitals, performance optimization, and rendering strategies (SSR, CSR, edge rendering).
* Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
Nice to Have:
* Experience with headless architectures or multi‐site platforms.
* Building SEO auditing or recommendation engines.
