CtrlChain is scaling its logistics ecosystem across Europe and is looking for a Transport Planner to join our Planning & Service Europe team in our Barcelona office. In this role, you will ensure efficient, cost-effective, and reliable transport planning by aligning demand with available capacity. You will work closely with shippers, carriers, and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly—while contributing to a more sustainable logistics industry. We facilitate road transport by connecting technology, people, and expertise in a new solution that delivers. The role As a Transport Planner, you play a key role in daily transport operations. You are responsible for planning and coordinating freight flows, ensuring capacity coverage, and maintaining high service levels. You will focus on either Brokerage Planning (working with third-party carriers). You collaborate closely with Carrier Relationships, Sales, and Customer Success to support operational execution and commercial objectives. What you’ll do - Provide exceptional support to shippers and carriers as the primary contact for CtrlChain.- Perform daily brokerage planning to meet customer and lane specifications.- Continuously monitor performance and make necessary adjustments.- Maintain accurate planning and resource data in TMS or relevant platforms.- Coordinate with commercial and operational teams for peak coverage.- Participate in planning meetings to align daily priorities and provide status updates on planning, exceptions, and delays.- Develop backup strategies when primary options are unavailable.- Monitor fulfillment, KPIs, and associated costs and services.- Escalate planning issues or service interruptions as needed.- Contribute to enhancing planning tools, systems, and processes, while evaluating cost implications for margin-sensitive decisions.RequirementsYou are a hands-on logistics professional who enjoys operational coordination, problem-solving, and working in a dynamic environment. You will thrive in this role if you: - Have 1–3 years of experience in transport, asset, or brokerage planning.
- Understand European freight and transport networks.
- Have experience working with TMS or transport planning systems.
- Are analytical, structured, and detail-oriented.
- Communicate confidently in English and Spanish;
Dutch is preferred as athird language. German and French are a plus.
- The Transport Manager License is a pre- Commercially minded and customer-focused.
