You will play a key role in defining, designing, and managing ground segment systems and subsystems, ensuring technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge space missions and work with a passionate team of engineers and scientists.
MAIN DUTIES
* Lead the system engineering activities for ground segment solutions, from concept to deployment.
* Define and maintain system and subsystem specifications, including interface control documents (ICDs).
* Oversee technical project management, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
* Act as the technical interface with clients, understanding their needs and translating them into actionable engineering tasks.
* Drive system integration, verification, and validation processes.
* Contribute to the evolution and enhancement of the INDRA DEIMOS Ground Segment software suite (gs4EO ).
* Support proposal writing and technical documentation for new business opportunities.
* Participate in project reviews, audits, and meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
* Ensure compliance with space industry standards and best practices (e.g., ECSS, CCSDS, OGC, etc).
TECHNICAL REQUERIMENTS:
* Ground Segment Engineering Expertise
* Experience in designing and specifying ground segment systems and subsystems.
* Experience managing and generating requirements engineering, system architecture, and interface control documentation
* Familiarity with system integration, verification, and validation (V&V) processes
* Software and Tools Knowledge
* Familiar with software development lifecycle and tools (e.g., Git, Jira, Confluence).
* Ability to read and interpret UML diagrams and system models.
* Working knowledge with srelevant standards commonly used within the Space industry (CCSDS, PUS, XTCE, OGC…)
* Technical Leadership
* Experience managing technical aspects of space-related projects.
* Ability to coordinate and monitor subcontractors and external partners.
* Proven ability to act as a technical interface with clients, translating needs into engineering solutions.
