Overview
BESS Delivery Service Manager / Engineer (Utility Scale Projects) is responsible for the execution and lifecycle support of large-scale battery energy storage projects after the project is secured by the sales and presales teams. The role manages the technical delivery, commissioning, and operational support of utility-scale BESS projects.
Responsibilities
- Project Handover from Sales / Presales
- Take ownership of projects after commercial contract closure
- Review project scope including: system design, grid requirements, performance guarantees, project schedules
- Align with customers and internal teams on project execution strategy
- Project Execution Delivery
- Manage the full lifecycle delivery of utility-scale BESS projects
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, integrators, and equipment suppliers
- Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications, grid requirements, and safety standards
- Manage project risks and coordinate issue resolution
- Commissioning Grid Integration
- Oversee commissioning of utility-scale BESS including: system energization, grid compliance testing, and performance testing
- Work with grid operators and technical partners to complete system integration
- Ensure successful handover to operations
- Operations Support Service Management
- Coordinate post-commissioning support and service activities
- Manage long-term service plans and preventive maintenance
- Monitor system performance and coordinate troubleshooting if needed
- Interface with OEM technical teams for system diagnostics
- Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the primary technical contact between customers, EPC contractors, OEM suppliers, internal teams
- Ensure smooth communication and alignment across stakeholders
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Engineering, or related field
- 5–10 years experience in utility-scale renewable energy or power infrastructure projects
- Experience with large-scale BESS, solar + storage, or grid infrastructure preferred
- Strong understanding of: grid integration, power systems, energy management systems, high-voltage systems

- Willingness to travel to project sites
