Job Title: BDM - Business Development Manager

Type of employment: Permanent, Full-Time, Remote.

Location: This is a remote role based in Spain. You need to be based in Madrid or within a commutable distance. You have the rights to work without visa sponsorship; we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.

We are looking for someone with strong contacts in the ecommerce space, combined with experience in logistics and retail, to help us hit the ground running.

As our first Business Development Manager in Spain, you will take full ownership of identifying new business opportunities and securing strategic partnerships to drive our market entry.
This is not just another sales role - this is your chance to shape the future of our business in Spain, leveraging our UK success and your industry expertise to establish a strong foundation.
You will be responsible for market research, outreach, lead generation, and closing deals, working closely with our UK-based team to ensure a seamless launch.

This role is ideal for a self-starter who loves building relationships, developing sales strategies, and making an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead our entry into the Spanish market, building our brand and presence from the ground up.
* Develop and execute a strategic business development plan, targeting key players in ecommerce, logistics, and retail.
* Work closely with the Marketing & SDR teams to establish outreach programmes, thought leadership and promotional activity.
* Identify, engage, and convert prospects into long-term business partners.
* Create and deliver compelling sales pitches, presentations, and value propositions tailored to the Spanish market.
* Represent customer needs internally and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth onboarding and implementation process.
* Act as the face of the company in Spain, attending industry events and networking to establish strong business relationships.
* Continuously track and analyse market trends and competitor activity, providing insights to shape our strategy.
* Work closely with the UK Commercial Director, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
* Achieve and exceed sales targets, driving revenue and sustainable growth.

What you'll need to be successful:

* Extensive experience in new business development, with a strong network in ecommerce, logistics, or retail.
* Proven track record in solution selling, ideally within a SaaS or logistics environment.
* Strong understanding of the Spanish market, including key players, trends, and challenges.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
* Fluent in Spanish and English.
* Ability to travel as needed to meet prospects and attend industry events.
