BrainRocket is seeking an experienced Lawyer to support our operations across Spain, advising on employment and labor laws applicable in that jurisdiction while handling commercial and corporate legal matters. The successful candidate will partner with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and minimize legal risks.
Key Responsibilities
* Counsel on all matters of employment law, including employee rights and obligations, disciplinary and grievance procedures, lawful termination processes, working time regulations, occupational health & safety, and the classification of personnel (employee vs. independent contractor)
* Draft, review, negotiate, and manage employment-related documents: contracts, service and recruitment agreements, settlements, policies, and handbooks
* Advise on various commercial, corporate, and contractual arrangements; draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and coordinate related legal processes
* (Desirable) Offer guidance on local corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, and tax implications
Professional Requirements
* Juris Doctor (JD), LLB, or equivalent legal degree, duly admitted to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction
* Minimum of 5 years’ qualified legal practice, with at least 3 years focused on employment and labor law
* Demonstrated experience advising corporate or organizational clients on day-to-day HR legal matters and employment compliance
* Working knowledge of data protection and privacy laws (e.g., GDPR or equivalent)
* Proven skills in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
* Excellent oral and written proficiency in English
* Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and team collaboration abilities
* Self-starter with strong professionalism and the capacity to work independently and coordinate with international colleagues.
