Join us on our journey to #ForeverCaring as a Medical Scientific Liaison, and you’ll do the same.**Position Overview**The Medical Scientific Liaison is a key position within our Medical Affairs function, primarily supporting Convatec’s nitric oxide next-generation antimicrobial platform (CNAP) business. You will lead national educational initiatives, including presenting at events/conferences and authoring scientific/clinical content. Strategically partner with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs). Provide authoritative scientific and medical expertise to HCPs on, and relating to, our CNAP technology. Develop relationships with HCPs and clinical sites to support effective product evaluations and long-term adoption. Engage with HCPs to capture clinician and user feedback, feeding back unmet needs to the CNAP core team.**Key Responsibilities**Medical science expertise:- Act as trusted scientific expert, delivering accurate and compliant scientific and clinical education to external stakeholders.- Present complex data in a clear and compelling manner, in oral and written form.- Represent Convatec at national scientific conferences and industry events.- Partner with regional and integral MSL and Medical Affairs colleagues to develop and disseminate new evidence.Educational leadership:- Deliver tailored national educational programs to HCPs, ensuring dissemination of our latest clinical and scientific evidence.- Participate in peer-to-peer educational exchanges, webinars, and scientific workshops to drive awareness, understanding and credibility of our technology.- Collaborate with national Sales and Marketing to deliver local educational support.Develop national KOL networks:- Establish long-term, strategic relationships with national KOLs, HCPs, and other stakeholders.- Collaborate with national KOLs on clinical evidence generation to validate our products.- Proactively engage these to gather insights, inform clinical practice, and support the adoption of our innovative solutions.Clinical and market insight:- Collect product performance and user feedback for R&D;, MACA, and commercial teams to inform life cycle management, next-generation innovations, clinical study designs, and commercial strategies.- Share insights, best practice, and data with national and regional MSL networks.Cross-functional collaboration and influence:- Partner with internal cross-functional teams, including MACA, R&D;, Regulatory, Marketing and national Market Access, to ensure integration of insights into our strategies.- Act as national scientific lead in supporting product launches, product evaluations, clinical studies, and post-market surveillance efforts.Compliance:- Ensure all scientific discussions and engagements with external stakeholders adhere to the highest ethical standards and comply with regulatory requirements.- Provide scientifically accurate, balanced responses to off-label inquiries while upholding compliance and transparency standards, ensuring integrity of interactions.**Skills & Experience**- At least 5 years in a medical scientific liaison or scientific/medical education role in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry. Alternatively, at least 5 years in clinical practice in wound care or a related field.- Track record in presenting complex scientific/clinical data to KOLs/HCPs.- Solid grasp of statistics and scientific and clinical data interpretation.- Scientific and/or clinical credibility demonstrated by presentation and/or publication record.- Strong understanding of the medical device landscape.- Adaptability to rapidly master new clinical areas through training.- Experience in wound care, infection management, or a related therapeutic area.**Qualifications/Education**- PhD, MSc or similar higher degree in the biological (e.G., biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology, immunology) or biomedical sciences (e.G. medicine, nursing, pathology, regenerative medicine).- Alternatively, time-served experience in relevant scientific or clinical roles.**Travel Requirements**- Position will involve national and occasional international travel, up to 75% of the time, with overnight stays.**Languages**- Spanish- English**Working Conditions**- Remote working, with regular internal meetings at national and regional offices depending on business requirements.- Attendance of national and occasional international conferences is required and may require working occasional weekends.Our transformation will change your career.
