We are searching for a strategic community management and operations expert to join the International Community team and help grow outside of the US. As the Community Operations Specialist, you will be at the forefront of jumpstarting and fostering local communities.
You will be an expert of the Italian market, proficient in both English and Italian, and focused on proactive initiatives to build bridges with local volunteer moderators. Your role involves innovating, iterating, refining, and scaling our international consumer playbook.
The insights derived from your relationships and experiments will help accelerate our growth in Italy.

Responsibilities
* Gain a deep understanding of the Italian market and specialized knowledge to identify user and moderator pain points, competitors, and market opportunities.
* Cultivate, recruit, educate, and grow a local community of moderators (volunteers who develop, maintain, and craft the culture of local communities) and implement a conversion funnel to onboard external creators and local users, turning them into active moderators.
* Be a public face with local volunteer moderators to build trust and drive engagement, mediating conflicts and helping drive solutions.
* Iterate, innovate, and scale the consumer growth playbook by recognizing new opportunities, suggesting bold ideas and programs, and persuading internal teams to align on new plans.
* Communicate quantitative and qualitative insights to optimize and improve the international consumer growth playbook.
* Be obsessive about achieving aggressive goals and outcomes.
* Run reports, build dashboards, analyze data, set KPIs, and execute impactful community initiatives, leveraging data to uncover insights that influence your market pod.
* Work cross-functionally with Product, Community, Engineering, Marketing, Safety, and Business Development teams.
What We Can Expect From You
* 2-5 years of experience in community development, project management, growth, operations, or product consulting with a track record of community-led projects that have driven business impact.
* Deep knowledge and understanding of Italian culture, including current events, politics, customs, traditions, language, topics of interest, taboos, etc.
* Nuanced comprehension of the digital landscape and the cultural intricacies within it, including awareness of internet culture specific to Italy and a deep appreciation for the diverse cultural facets shaping contemporary Italian society.
* Effective and persuasive communication skills, capable of collaborating across internal teams, local users, moderators, partners, content creators, influencers, etc.
* Results-oriented with outstanding execution and high attention to detail.
* Deep interest in developing and driving projects, framing issues, seeking solutions, testing hypotheses, and iterating on process improvements.
* Proficiency in Italian & English and based in the EU timezone.
