San Sebastian (Basque Country, Spain) | Hybrid (Remote/In-Person)Full-time | PermanentWe are building sodium-ion storage systems, a critical technology that gives people, businesses, and communities control over their energy .
This technology is at the heart of our product: a modular battery system that can power everything from off-grid mountain refuges to industrial companies and regions.
We have partnered with leading industrial companies and research centers to scale up, such as CIC energiGUNE and Battera. We are looking for an Electronic Engineer to lead the control electronics of our battery system. This involves integrating components of commercially available Battery Management Systems and Energy Management Systems into our product, as well as developing new electronic components for our system.
We are looking for a curious and proactive 'builder' that is motivated with the challenge of joining an early stage company like Bihar, and that enjoys working in small, agile teams.Degree in Electronic Engineering, preferably with a Master's in Embedded Systems .Deep understanding of Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS), with an ability to assess, test, integrate and modify them, including uC programming (C/C++).Knowledge on Python/RTOS, and AI programming tools.Ability to develop PCBs from scratch, including designing, prototyping, testing, and iterating (KiCad, schemes, Gerbers, BOM).Understand the functioning of power electronic battery components (DC/DC, DC/AC, AC/DC) and being able to integrate and work with them.Ability to work fluently in Spanish and English .Based in San Sebastian or willingness to spend significant time in the city (hybrid position).
