As part of our continued growth and transformation, we are strengthening our Finance operations and looking for a Credit Controller to join our Billing team in Barcelona.
Your Role
As a Credit Controller, you will play a key role in managing customer collections across our international markets while acting as a bridge between Finance, Sales, and our customers.
You will be responsible for ensuring timely cash collection, maintaining strong customer relationships, and supporting the accuracy of our billing operations.
This role combines client-facing responsibilities and analytical work, offering exposure to both operational execution and influence financial decision-making.
You will join a collaborative and experienced team currently undergoing transformation, including increased automation, process improvements, and closer alignment with our US teams.

What You’ll Do
Billing & Cash Management
* Monitor incoming payments (bank transfers, credit cards) in NetSuite
* Manage customer payment methods and update details via Stripe
* Monitor and resolve declined or failed payments
* Review unapplied cash, refunds, and allocations
Collections & Customer Management
* Proactively follow up with customers on overdue invoices via phone and email
* Manage aged debt in line with internal collection policies
* Act as a key point of contact for billing-related inquiries
* Build and maintain professional relationships with customers
Case & Risk Management
* Track and resolve customer Case in a timely and accurate manner
* Handle escalations such as bankruptcies or legal cases
* Coordinate with external collection agencies and monitor progress
* Process account write-offs and ensure accounting accuracy
Reporting & Analysis
* Monitor outstanding invoices, credits, and customer account health
* Prepare reports for internal tracking and audits
* Analyze overdue accounts and support decision-making
Cross-functional Collaboration
* Work closely with:
o International Account Management (Sales)
o Finance and US Billing team
* Participate in regular reviews of overdue accounts
Process Improvement & Projects
* Contribute to automation initiatives and process optimization
* Support implementation of new tools and systems
* Assist with internal training and process documentation
* Ensure billing accuracy (credit memos, cancellations, invoicing consistency)
What You Should Have
* Fluent in English and Spanish, German is a plus
* Solid 5 years of experience in a client-facing role ideally in a credit control, collections, or billing operations environnement
* Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
* Strong analytical mindset with experience in reporting and data analysis
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage customer relationships
* Team player mindset with a proactive and supportive attitude
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
* Experience with NetSuite, Stripe, or Salesforce is a plus
