Design, develop, and maintain automation architectures for pharmaceutical plants (drug manufacturing machines, packaging lines, etc.).
Manage the software development of automation systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI, supervision systems and data monitoring cockpits).
Analyze and define communication protocols between machines and systems (PLC–SCADA–MES/IT), ensuring end‑to‑end integration.
Coordinate with different departments (IT, production, quality, maintenance, process engineering) to ensure technical and functional alignment.
Support commissioning, start‑up and performance optimization of automated lines.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (GMP, GAMP, FDA/EMA, pharma; Act as a technical reference / team leader on automation projects, supporting colleagues and stakeholders.
✍️ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or similar.
~5–10 years of experience as an Automation Engineer in the pharmaceutical industry (alternatively food & beverage or other highly regulated sectors).
~ Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, HMI/data monitoring cockpits and main industrial communication protocols (e.g. Hands‑on experience programming automation languages (e.g. Availability to work full remote from Spain (no regular travel required).
~ Fluent English (C2) and Spanish (C2); 70% of our top managers started their careers at entry level.
