Interim Chief Financial Officer (Spanish-speaking)

We are supporting a privately-owned international business at an important inflection point. The group operates energy logistics, storage and supply activities with a strategic presence in Southern Spain.
As the organisation enters a phase of structured evaluation and forward planning, there is a need to strengthen financial leadership, enhance transparency, and align key stakeholders around a clear financial position. The business requires disciplined reporting, confident engagement with external advisors and authorities, and a steady hand to support strategic decision-making and potential restructuring discussions. This is a role for someone who can bring order, clarity, and confidence to a complex and evolving situation.
The Role
You will act as the senior financial lead for the group, partnering closely with the Board, operational leadership and investors. Your focus will be to establish robust visibility over the current financial position, reinforce controls, optimise liquidity management, and support structured dialogue with external stakeholders. The position requires diplomatic, collegiate leadership and the ability to manage relationships where alignment needs to be rebuilt.
Key Requirements
- Fluent Spanish (essential), able to engage effectively with Spanish authorities, advisors and local teams.
- Strong background in complex, multi-entity finance leadership, ideally within energy logistics, industrial supply chain, infrastructure, or trading environments.
- Demonstrable experience in financial stabilisation, restructuring planning or regulated contexts.
- Proven capability in cash and working capital management where liquidity and timing are critical.
- Ability to establish and embed robust financial reporting, controls and governance frameworks.
- Highly skilled stakeholder manager: calm, diplomatic and credible at Board, investor and operational levels.
- Willingness to spend meaningful time on site in Cádiz (hybrid, not full-time on-site). Essential requirement.
