Electrical Design Engineer
We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in developing advanced test equipment for battery systems and power inverters. The role involves designing and specifying electrical systems and components, working closely with colleagues from 3D design and fluid mechanics. The position requires a motivated engineer with strong communication skills in English and the ability to contribute to innovative solutions in power electronics and electrical design.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Design and develop electrical systems for battery test equipment and power inverters.
* Prepare and maintain electrical schematics and layouts using EPLAN .
* Perform electrical calculations, including component sizing and safety considerations.
* Define technical specifications and requirements for suppliers.
* Create and manage bills of materials (BOMs).
* Collaborate with mechanical (3D) and fluid engineering teams to ensure integrated system design.
* Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards and machine safety regulations .
* Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities as needed.
YOUR PROFILE:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Experience in electrical design and power electronics .
* Knowledge of EPLAN or similar CAD tools.
* Good understanding of electrical calculations and component selection.
* Familiarity with electrical standards and machine safety regulations .
* Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) .
* Strong communication skills in English and Spanish .
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Proactive, solution-oriented, and detail-focused mindset.
* Basic knowledge of German is a plus.
