What the Role Delivers
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Leader to join our Global Finance Shared Services team. This role is responsible for leading the Accounts Payable (AP) function across all regions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and supplier queries, while driving process improvements and compliance with internal controls and global standards.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with strong operational expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a passion for continuous improvement within a dynamic and fast-paced global environment.
K ey Responsibilities
In order of relative importance
* Lead and manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable function within the Global Finance Shared Services organization.
* Oversee daily AP operations including invoice processing, payment runs, vendor management, and issue resolution across multiple geographies.
* Manage the Travel & Expense tool and ensure the timely process of expense notes.
* Coordinate the Credit Card Management process with banks, including card creation, changes of Credit limits and solve incidence.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Procurement, Treasury, Accounting, etc.) and external vendors.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.
* Drive standardization and optimization of AP processes through automation, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs), and provide regular reporting to senior management.
* Lead, coach, and develop a geographically dispersed AP team to foster a high-performance and customer-service-oriented culture.
* Collaborate with IT and Finance Transformation teams on system enhancements, upgrades, and integration projects (e.g., ERP implementation).
* Support internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate documentation.

What the Job Requires
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
* 8+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a shared services or global environment.
* Strong knowledge of AP processes, internal controls, and financial systems (SAP knowledge is a plus).
* Proven experience managing cross-border teams and operations in a multi-currency, multi-entity environment.
* Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and manage change effectively.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
* High level of integrity, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
* Fluency in English and Spanish, additional languages are an advantage
What to Have Done and Know How to Do
* Experience with global finance transformation or shared services center migration projects.
* Familiarity with robotics process automation (RPA) or AP automation tools.
* Knowledge of tax regulations (e.g., VAT, GST) as they apply to accounts payable.
