Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead to join our Core AI Services Team. This role balances technical contributions with leadership responsibilities. You will dedicate:
50% of your time to hands-on project work as a software engineer.
50% of your time to managing and supporting a team of 6-10 engineers working on the same project.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Contributions (50%)
* Develop, review, and maintain high-quality code.
* Collaborate on project design, architecture, and implementation.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
* Stay updated on industry trends and integrate relevant technologies.
People Management (50%)
* Supervise, mentor, and support a team of 6-10 engineers.
* Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and provide constructive feedback.
* Foster a collaborative and continuous improvement culture.
* Set and communicate clear performance expectations.
* Lead the hiring and onboarding process for new team members.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* 3+ years of proven experience in engineering leadership.
* Strong technical expertise in software development, with proficiency in Python and Machine Learning (ML).
* Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
* Excellent organizational skills to balance hands-on technical work with managerial responsibilities.
* Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) for effective cross-functional collaboration.
