Job Summary :
The Sr Process Engineer / Expert supports with process design and related activities within Verdalia Bioenergy global portfolio of biomethane & biofertilizer plants as well as process support to operational plants.
Key Responsibilities :
Process design and corresponding Front Engineering Design documents, including Mass Balance (MB), Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and the Process & Instrumentation Diagram (PID)Development and standardisation of Functional Control Philosophy of all Verdalia plants as well as necessary documentation for control execution of all the plants and link to intercommunication with corporate database and data analytics and processing systems.
Development of all necessary process engineering, methodologies, tools & standards, including all Safety Desing procedures (HAZID, HAZOP, etc...)Commissioning & start-upActive support to operations team in continuous improvement and performance projectsValidate supplier requirements, feedstock quality and quantity and propose suitable solutions in line with the business standard designs and products,Specification of main plant equipment and liaise with key suppliers, to obtain technical details and cost for the plant design and costing,Process support for CAPEX & OPEX estimation.Compilation of all applicable technical documentation for the plan and / or the contractSupporting procurement department in deal negotiations and contract conclusion and for pre-qualifications in the request processSupport with return of experience transfer from operational team

Support with process-related projects from conception through to implementation, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project execution.Prepare project reports and documentation as required.
Quality Control and Assurance :
Support in the implementation and monitor quality control processes to ensure the highest standards of production.
Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all production processes.
Technology and Innovation :
Stay abreast of the latest developments and innovations in biomethane production technologies.Evaluate and recommend new technologies and methodologies to improve production efficiency and sustainability.Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and processes within the plant.
Budgeting and Financial Management :
Support in the development and manage the budget for process operations, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.Support in the monitoring of financial performance and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
Support in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts for senior management.
Stakeholder Engagement :
Support in the engagement with external stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure smooth operation and compliance.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.8-10 years of experience as a process engineer within the renewable energy or chemical industry, with at least 3-5 years.Strong knowledge of biomethane production processes and technologies or related processes (wastewater treatment, waste treatment)Proven track record of leading process optimization and improvement initiatives.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in process simulation software and other relevant technologies.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in the biomethane industry.

Working Conditions :
Primarily office-based with frequent visits to the production plant.May require occasional travel to other company sites or industry events.May involve occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines or address operational issues.
