We are currently recruiting for a Reference Laboratory Key Account Manager for our Companion Animal group covering Iberia (based in the Madrid region).
Responsibilities
* Work closely with practices to understand their reference laboratory needs and identify new business opportunities on existing IDEXX accounts or for new IDEXX customers while building rapport with various stakeholders.
* Act as the point of reference for the reference laboratory, representing the commercial team and ensuring sales and revenue goals are met. Develop strategy and execution plans for reference laboratory initiatives, collaborating closely with internal commercial partners.
* Promote IDEXX’s diagnostic solution and educate stakeholders about our purpose, the tests we can run, the quality of our laboratory expertise, and service offering.
Qualifications
* Proven successful background in sales is essential; a veterinarian with a strong commercial mindset is also considered.
* In‑clinic experience and/or scientific background is a significant advantage.
* Ability to promote ideas persuasively, with strong motivation and problem‑solving skills.
* Project management experience and working on large proposals is beneficial.
* Ability to develop and execute a sales strategy by account in partnership with internal stakeholders.
* Exceptional organisational skills and time management.
* Flexibility for reactive travel and motivation for a varied workweek.
* Outstanding communication skills across several stakeholders, internally and externally.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Passion for veterinary diagnostics and the ability to articulate the value of IDEXX and our services.
